Welcome to the Citizen Advisory Committee Information Space for the Community Development Block Grant Mitigation funds. (CDBG-MIT).
As the Puerto Rico Department of Housing, we are committed to the effective and transparent management of CDBG-MIT funds. In this context, we have established the Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC), following the guidelines of the Notice of Federal Registration Vol. 84, No. 169 (August 30, 2019) of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Our Approach
- Promote Citizen Participation: Through the CAC, we seek to foster an open space for citizen participation, ensuring that all voices are heard in the community development process.
- Transparency and Communication: We maintain an unwavering commitment to transparency in the management of CDBG-MIT funds, offering open meetings and effective communication channels for the public.
CAC Key Functions
- Public Forum Meetings: The purpose of these meetings is to orient and provide opportunities for dialogue with citizens, communities, and any entity that wants to contribute to the strengthening of the recovery programs.
- Continuous Feedback: The CAC is the bridge for citizens to actively participate in the feedback and improvement of mitigation projects and programs.
Action Plan and Operational Guide
The CDBG-MIT Action Plan and the CAC Operational Guide outline our strategy and methodology for citizen inclusion and responsible resource management.
