The Governor of Puerto Rico Ricardo Rosselló and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson announced yesterday September 20, 2018, the formal execution of the $1.5 billion grant agreement of CDBG-DR (Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery) funds.
The draft of the Substantial Amendment of the Action Plan corresponding to the allocation of $8.2 billion CDBG-DR funds is published on our website (www.recuperacion.pr.gov).
-The 19 original programs presented in the Action Plan approved by HUD are maintained, with some changes and amendments to the programs and their budgets. Eight additional programs are added for unmet needs.
The draft of the Substantial Amendment of the Action Plan is available today for public comment for 30 consecutive days until October 21, 2018.
-Public hearings will be held within this period, from October 15 to 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the municipalities of Toa Baja, Guayama, Barranquitas, Manatí, Moca, Guánica and Fajardo. Stay informed through our website and newspaper postings for locations.
