Distribution of total Available Budget, by Sectors

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allocated a total of $20.2 billion to Puerto Rico, of which $10 billion corresponds to CDBG-DR funds to carry out recovery activities related to Hurricanes Irma and Maria, $8.3 billion of CDBG-MIT funds for the development of mitigation programs focused on lifelines that will help prepare the Island for future disasters, $1.9 billion to address electric grid optimization, and $221 million focused on losses related to the 2020 earthquakes. The Transparency Portal shows the CDBG-DR funds amount available for Puerto Rico and the amount committed through contracts, subrecipient agreements, MOU’s and other procurement processes.

Other	Partnership		S Corporation
Any entity not identified under any of the subsequent classifications.	Formal agreement by two or more parties to manage and operate a business and share its profits. In a partnership business, all partners share liabilities and profits equally.		Commercial entity that meets the Internal Revenue Code requirements. Requirements include being a domestic corporation, having no more than 100 shareholders and having one class of shares.

C Corporation		Sole proprietorship
Entity that can have any number of investors and therefore can easily raise the capital to operate the business. Since they can have an unlimited number of investors, they can offer stock incentives to their employees.		Business that is not organized as a corporation, LLC or other entity. All entity legal and financial functions flow through the owner.
