  • Reconstruction and Repair of Homes: Assistance to rebuild and repair homes affected by disasters.
  • Infrastructure Revitalization: Efforts to rebuild and improve key infrastructure.
  • Supporting Business and Community Services: Helping to revive the local economy and restore essential community services.

CDBG-DR

Supports disaster recovery activities in the response to Hurricanes Irma and María, including housing reconstruction and development, providing services and assistance to the most vulnerable in our communities.​

Enhancements

Special allocation under CDBG-DR that provides a unique and significant opportunity for strategic, high-impact activities to address necessary expenses and mitigate disaster risks in the Island’s electric power system. ​

CDBG-MIT

A diverse group of programs that addressed the issue of mitigation on the island, in order to implement high-impact strategic activities to mitigate the risks of disasters and reduce future losses. ​

Earthquakes and
Storm Isaías

Special allocation under CDBG-DR that assists in long-term disaster recovery from the 2019-2020 earthquakes and storm Isaías in several municipalities in the southwestern part of the island.​

Hurricane Fiona and
2022 Floods

Special allocation under CDBG-DR/MIT to assist in long-term disaster recovery from the february 2022 Floods and Hurricane Fiona. The heavy rains and hurricane caused severe flooding and landslides, highlighting the importance of investing in resilient infrastructure and strategic risk management.
